Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.35% to hit a new 52-week high, while the index gained 1.38%, and the index added 1.92%.

The best performers of the session on the were Continental AG O.N. (DE:), which rose 3.93% or 4.82 points to trade at 127.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 3.71% or 0.245 points to end at 6.840 and Wirecard AG (DE:) was up 3.53% or 4.050 points to 118.900 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:), which fell 1.90% or 2.650 points to trade at 137.150 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) declined 0.94% or 0.260 points to end at 27.500 and Merck KGaA (DE:) was down 0.55% or 0.60 points to 107.95.

The top performers on the MDAX were Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (DE:) which rose 15.01% to 38.125, Leoni AG (DE:) which was up 10.43% to settle at 12.015 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which gained 9.46% to close at 42.00.

The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which was down 1.28% to 41.00 in late trade, Drillisch AG (DE:) which lost 1.10% to settle at 23.440 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 0.86% to 57.500 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which rose 9.46% to 42.00, Aixtron SE NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 5.35% to settle at 8.7380 and Wirecard AG (DE:) which gained 3.53% to close at 118.900.

The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 1.10% to 23.440 in late trade, New Work SE (DE:) which lost 1.06% to settle at 280.00 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 0.86% to 57.500 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 482 to 206 and 72 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.55 to $1511.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.83% or 1.03 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.41% or 0.87 to trade at $62.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1141, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8638.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.250.
