Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the rose 0.07% to hit a new 5-year high, while the index gained 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the were Sodexo SA (PA:), which rose 2.02% or 2.10 points to trade at 106.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Dassault Systemes SE (PA:) added 1.76% or 2.40 points to end at 139.05 and Societe Generale SA (PA:) was up 1.30% or 0.37 points to 28.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Accor SA (PA:), which fell 2.82% or 1.12 points to trade at 38.59 at the close. Renault SA (PA:) declined 1.24% or 0.58 points to end at 46.16 and Carrefour SA (PA:) was down 1.22% or 0.19 points to 15.36.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Genfit (PA:) which rose 7.73% to 14.630, Sopra Steria Group SA (PA:) which was up 3.61% to settle at 132.10 and ALD SA (PA:) which gained 2.60% to close at 14.22.

The worst performers were Accor SA (PA:) which was down 2.82% to 38.59 in late trade, Eramet SA (PA:) which lost 2.42% to settle at 53.24 and Solvay SA (BR:) which was down 1.87% to 97.86 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 308 to 261 and 101 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sodexo SA (PA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.02% or 2.10 to 106.15. Shares in Sopra Steria Group SA (PA:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.61% or 4.60 to 132.10.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 0.43% to 12.18.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.43% or 6.35 to $1456.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.49% or 0.28 to hit $56.96 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.32% or 0.20 to trade at $62.31 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1039, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.8585.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.015.
