Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the added 0.82% to hit a new 5-year high, while the index climbed 0.76%.

The best performers of the session on the were L’Oreal SA (PA:), which rose 2.24% or 5.80 points to trade at 264.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Vinci SA (PA:) added 2.05% or 2.00 points to end at 99.38 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:) was up 2.05% or 8.25 points to 410.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which fell 2.12% or 0.350 points to trade at 16.166 at the close. Atos SE (PA:) declined 1.00% or 0.76 points to end at 75.06 and Credit Agricole SA (PA:) was down 0.65% or 0.085 points to 13.065.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were DBV Technologies (PA:) which rose 4.30% to 17.230, ALD SA (PA:) which was up 2.79% to settle at 14.00 and Worldline SA (PA:) which gained 2.56% to close at 64.000.

The worst performers were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) which was down 2.12% to 16.166 in late trade, Valeo SA (PA:) which lost 1.79% to settle at 31.89 and Eutelsat Communications SA (PA:) which was down 1.62% to 14.56 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 323 to 239 and 105 ended unchanged.

Shares in LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:) rose to all time highs; up 2.05% or 8.25 to 410.50. Shares in Eutelsat Communications SA (PA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.62% or 0.24 to 14.56.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 8.17% to 11.24.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.22% or 3.25 to $1481.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.44% or 0.88 to hit $60.30 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.51 to trade at $66.03 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1068, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8501.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 97.325.
