Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the rose 0.40% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the were AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:), which rose 9.84% or 2.70 points to trade at 30.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:) added 7.57% or 2.85 points to end at 40.50 and Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:) was up 6.31% or 0.74 points to 12.46 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE:), which fell 3.61% or 0.40 points to trade at 10.68 at the close. Taleem REIT Fund (SE:) declined 2.85% or 0.38 points to end at 12.94 and The National Shipping Co. (SE:) was down 1.85% or 0.75 points to 39.75.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 126 to 52 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.84% or 2.70 to 30.15. Shares in Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.31% or 0.74 to 12.46.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.64% or 0.37 to $58.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.95% or 0.61 to hit $64.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 6.85 to trade at $1543.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.23% to 4.1669, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7518.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 97.282.
