Mondelez Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q1

Mondelez announced earnings per share of $0.69 on revenue of $6.71B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.66 on revenue of $6.61B. That with comparison to EPS of $0.65 on revenue of $6.54B in the same period a year before. Mondelez had reported EPS of $0.61 on revenue of $6.91B in the previous quarter. Analysts are expecting EPS of $0.61 and revenue of $6.08B in the upcoming quarter.

Mondelez shares are up 18% from the beginning of the year , still down 14.56% from its 52 week high of $59.96 set on February 19. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 11.74% year to date.

Mondelez shares gained 0.43% in after-hours trade following the report.

Mondelez’s report follows an earnings beat by Procter&Gamble on April 17, who reported EPS of $1.17 on revenue of $17.21B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.13 on revenue of $17.31B.

Coca-Cola had beat expectations on April 21 with first quarter EPS of $0.51 on revenue of $8.6B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.44 on revenue of $8.3B.
