Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.36%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.36%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which rose 1.09% or 11.5 points to trade at 1064.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) fell 0.25% or 1.1 points to end at 435.7 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.36% or 2.4 points to 660.2 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 6.31% or 492 points to trade at 7302 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 5.33% or 5.0 points to end at 89.1 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 5.09% or 35.8 points to 667.0.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 123 to 15 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 9.57% or 3.79 to $35.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 8.41% or 3.51 to hit $38.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 19.70 to trade at $1740.40 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.03% to 6.5521, while EUR/DKK rose 0.06% to 7.4550.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 96.243.
