Saudi Arabia stocks lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 1.17%

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.17%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which rose 9.95% or 2.33 points to trade at 25.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130) added 7.32% or 1.00 points to end at 14.66 and Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) was up 3.69% or 0.62 points to 17.42 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040), which fell 6.80% or 1.26 points to trade at 17.26 at the close. Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) declined 5.75% or 1.65 points to end at 27.05 and Al Hokair Group (SE:1820) was down 4.27% or 0.64 points to 14.36.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 154 to 37 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.95% or 2.33 to 25.75.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.29 to $40.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.57% or 0.24 to hit $42.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.33% or 23.25 to trade at $1776.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.56% to 4.2181, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7510.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 97.095.
