New Plantronics CEO Joins After TiVo, Stock Drops

Investing.com —  Plantronics (NYSE:PLT) fell 7% Monday after announcing a new company head.

Dave Shull was appointed chief executive officer of the company, which is also known as Poly, effective Sept. 8. He succeeds Robert Hagerty, who has been serving as interim head since February. Hagerty will continue in his role as chairman of the board.     

Shull most recently served as president and CEO of TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) Corporation, a company he left after a year. Prior to leading TiVo, he served as CEO of The Weather Channel.    

Plantronics beat profit estimates last month, with earnings per share of 33 cents coming in above the expected 3 cents. Sales missed slightly, with $355.7 million comparing to the expected $356.8 million.

Shares are down about 32% in 2020, and have one buy rating, two holds and two sells, according to analysts tracked by Investing.com.
