At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.83% to hit a new 3-months low, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF), which rose 2.84% or 7.20 points to trade at 260.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) added 1.03% or 0.27 points to end at 26.45 and STMicroelectronics NV (PA:STM) was up 0.55% or 0.14 points to 25.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR), which fell 3.46% or 2.14 points to trade at 59.65 at the close. Safran SA (PA:SAF) declined 3.40% or 2.92 points to end at 82.88 and Societe Generale SA (PA:SOGN) was down 2.61% or 0.30 points to 11.21.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Trigano SA (PA:TRIA) which rose 13.13% to 119.80, Orpea SA (PA:ORP) which was up 4.89% to settle at 94.86 and Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF) which gained 2.84% to close at 260.50.
The worst performers were Genfit (PA:GNFT) which was down 7.43% to 3.09 in late trade, Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which lost 6.82% to settle at 15.550 and Air France KLM SA (PA:AIRF) which was down 6.77% to 3.02 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 445 to 133 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Societe Generale SA (PA:SOGN) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.61% or 0.30 to 11.21. Shares in Trigano SA (PA:TRIA) rose to 52-week highs; up 13.13% or 13.90 to 119.80. Shares in Genfit (PA:GNFT) fell to 5-year lows; down 7.43% or 0.25 to 3.09. Shares in Vallourec (PA:VLLP) fell to 5-year lows; falling 6.82% or 1.138 to 15.550. Shares in Air France KLM SA (PA:AIRF) fell to all time lows; losing 6.77% or 0.22 to 3.02.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 4.79% to 27.45.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.32% or 6.05 to $1874.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.13% or 0.05 to hit $39.88 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.45% or 0.19 to trade at $41.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1662, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.9144.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.407.
