Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.46%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.46%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 1.67% or 6.5 points to trade at 395.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) added 0.76% or 1.5 points to end at 197.7 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 0.57% or 6.0 points to 1054.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM), which fell 4.32% or 31.5 points to trade at 697.0 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 3.51% or 8.2 points to end at 225.5 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 2.87% or 21.8 points to 737.2.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 87 to 48 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.67% or 6.5 to 395.8.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.62% or 0.25 to $40.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.61% or 0.26 to hit $42.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.55 to trade at $1812.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.53% to 6.5276, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4440.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 96.157.
