The Baupost Group’s holding in Viasat, Inc. increased to about 16 million shares with the purchase.
The Baupost Group first bought Viasat, Inc. stock in the second quarter of 2008.
Other investors who also added to their Viasat, Inc. shares include California State Teachers Retirement System, the T. Rowe Price Equity Income Fund, and Southeastern Asset Management. Contrary to the Baupost Group, Financial Engines Advisors, Millennium Management, and NWQ Investment Management Co. reduced VSAT shares, while Fuller & Thaler Asset Management and BT Investment Management sold all their VSAT shares.
