Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.43%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.43% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which rose 2.00% or 17.4 points to trade at 887.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) added 1.95% or 15.5 points to end at 811.5 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 1.15% or 110 points to 9696 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 1.43% or 1.3 points to trade at 86.6 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) declined 1.27% or 5.3 points to end at 412.5 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 1.12% or 11.2 points to 990.8.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 68 to 64 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.95% or 15.5 to 811.5.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.79% or 0.72 to $40.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.39% or 1.01 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 18.85 to trade at $1951.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.06% to 6.2916, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4389.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.097.
