According to a tweet from the Phoenix Fire Department, hazardous materials crews responded to the fire at Nikola’s Phoenix headquarters. The tweet included a video showing the incident, revealing that at least three trucks were affected by the fire. Though, Nikola did not immediately respond to a request on the number of affected trucks.
The company’s stock has been on the rise this month with the share price doubling since June 1 on no apparent fundamentals. However, the company last week announced layoffs and a sharper focus on the North American marketplace.
Shares of NKLA are down 7.6% in mid-day trading on Friday.
